Step 1 vs Step 2 score and Intvw's

    Advertisements

I got my scores for CS/CK and passed both, but my CK was 20 points lower (3 digit score) than my Step 1. I received 7 interviews for IM and FM programs, with some being pretty competetive.

For those who have been through the process...Once you get an interview, is is then based on how you personally fit with the program, or will a lower Step 2 score affect getting in now?

    Ugh...

I think it's more on the fit. They've seen your quals and they think that you have the scores and the educational accomplishments, now they want to see your personality. They may ask you what happened to decrease your score. They just basically want to see if you'll fit in with their program. All this, ofcourse, is IMHO.
Congrats on the 7 interviews, by the way!
Best rejection to date: "..our selection committee has concluded that an interview is not indicated."

I have been officially upgraded to a malady
