Just curious as to whether a reply is received from all of the residency programs that you apply. Aside from being notified that they want you to come for an interview other programs will send an email stating that you application was rejected for an interview with various reasons. What happens to the remaining dozen or so programs. Do they ever respond? Are they waiting until the interview process is finished? Are they just so overwhelmed with the number of applicants that hey have NO time to reply?
When you become my age you will realize all of the hard work and studying was worth the effort.
"60 years young" another 60 to go if my doctor sons keep me alive with free prescriptions!!

funny things have happened in my case. Most sent a letter inviting for an interview. Some rejected an interview. Some never responded. Some rejected and then re-responded offering me an interview. One has rejected me twice and both times had multiple mispellings in the email and even spelled "medical" wrong in their signature 2x.

I guess they're just trying to keep you on your toes! Strange about a program rejecting, instead of waitlisting, then sending an interview offer. Did you contact them stating you really wanted to go there, etc.?

Nope....I had more than enough at good programs than needing to accept that one.....I have heard of it happening to others too
