    i scored 77 in step 2ck.how much score is needed in step 1 for an IMG to get residancy in int.medicine.

    A good comeback on step 1 (let's say high 90's) will increase your chances...work hard & good luck.

    high 90's would guarantee you a spot in IM, i have 78 on step 1 and 99 on step 2, passed CS and applied to 42 EM programs and 35 Pathology programs, lots and lots of rejections and no interviews yet but EM is way more competitive than IM so work hard on step 1.
