Please notify Programs if you cancel Interview

    Advertisements

    Hello all
This is a request which might sound ignorable but if heeded could help so many applicants whose career is a question mark this year with minimal interview calls.

So I request all applicants who accept Prematch offers or cannot travel to a program for interview to cancel interviews by emailing program coordinators... so that those on the waiting list might get a chance. Please do your bit to help people who have not been as lucky as you in this crazy ERAS season.

It will also be wonderful if you could post notifications of your cancellation on the forum

Your correct but I can't beleive that people doing a pre-match would not withdraw from the ERAS match process.
When you become my age you will realize all of the hard work and studying was worth the effort.
"60 years young" another 60 to go if my doctor sons keep me alive with free prescriptions!!

I seem to remember that there was a reason for staying in the match, though can't imagine what it is. Maybe an upper class student can answer that. I'll do a search and post if I find the answer.

Yeah that's correct ...people do withdraw from the match on accepting prematches but notifying the programs ensures that they know the interview slot is available for others....coordinators are busy ...they might not always be up to date regarding who has withdrawn from the match...so email them individually to let them know !!!
