Can I submit my eras without personal statement? I am taking step 2 in three weeks and don;t have time to write PS now or should I wait until I am done with my step 2 (around sept 18th) to complete my eras?

    Thanks

I'd wait until you can get the Personal Statement finished...

yah personal statement is important I think. But I won't wait too much. A lot of places have their application deadline in hte first week of Nov.

I actually had the exact same question

I actually had the exact same question ...

I keep re-writing my statement and stuff, but I already fileld out the CV in ERAS. I was mostly wondering whether I should wait until the school sent the LOR's to ECFMG? Because otherwise all the PD's would be getting is my CV, PS, and step 1 scores - which seems like an incomplete application. I expect to get step 2 results also around October...

Also, I dont think I'll never be completely satisfied with my PS - so should I send it in Now, or atleast wait 3 weeks until after I take my step 2... Then maybe I can devote a little more time to it....Get it more polished...

    similar scenario

I actually have everything ready to apply to ERAS (ECFMG certified) but I finally landed a 1 month observership which I really wanted since I have no USCE. My question is whether I should go ahead and apply now and send LOR later or wait until I am finished with my observership to get the LOR and then send in my application which would be sometime in October

I also have similar questions: should i apply to programs now without sending in my transcript and LORs? i have my application, CV and personal statement online. But I am not sure if i should wait until i have more in my eras folder or if it is ok to apply with what i have now. will they continue to transmit my other info to the programs I applied to as it comes in?

ERAS continues to send in your documents and information as it comes.
I know u all have different cenerios. Let me tell u what I'm planing on doing ....it may help.
I have to take my CK in a week. So I"ve stopped working on my ERAS application at this time. I still have to work on personal statements, and search about few more programs. I'm planning on sending my application by sept 15th. Hopefully no later. I would reather have my PS look good than send it in right now.
LORs can keep coming in so thats not a big deal.
