As a Med student, do you have any family members or role models who are physicians that have been influential in your decision to pursue a medical career?

Actually my influence was Grey's Anatomy, I've been watching it since the very beginning.

My Dad was a chiropractor, I did not want to go that route but loved observing his excellent connection and rapport with patients.

When I got older and served as a Hospital Corpsman (field medic) with the Marine Corps infantry, my battalion surgeon was instrumental in my decision to apply to medical school and become a physician. When things got tough along the way, I was also able to look to one of my first - and favorite - med school professors as a mentor, a source of encouragement, and a genuinely awesome person.

Hahaha, I thought about this question and I understand that maybe I didn't use my brain at all when I made the decision to go to medicine

My influence actually was my mom, she was very sickly when we were kids and I really would like to cure her. but unfortunately she died when I was 12. So now she is my inspiration
