For prospective DDS students. DO NOT GO TO POZNAN!

For those of you who wish to study dentistry at Poznan University of Medical Sciences, it is my sincere advice that you do not come to this school. Currently, there is such a mess concerning clinical classes which I highly doubt will be resolved anytime soon (these clinical classes are very important starting from your third to fifth year. We dental students need 'hands-on' experience unlike medical students who hardly have any during their 6 years of studies). All students have a lack of patients to pratice on all because the school administration is greedy and doesn't care for the education of its students. Even if the people in your respective administration offices ASSURE you that everything has been solved -DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM!These people are paid for by the school to lure you into a 'pooh pooh hole' as I like to call it. I say this as a student in my last year (thank God!) who can see how things have gone worse in a mere matter of months! Save yourself the trouble and try applying to any other Polish school out there (there are tons of them).

There is a strike. Yes there are class interruptions, and it sucks. Strikes happen at educational institutions all the time (ex: York Uni in 2008 went on strike for 5 months!)

Complaining on the internet about something out of everyone's hands won't speed anything up.

He is warning people not to go to PUMS. Like it or not the vast majority of Canadians and Americans that come to PUMS for Dentistry, Pharm, or Medicine never get hired in their respected fields. But PUMS administration will say just about anything to get them to attend. Warning people not to make the same mistakes he did isn't complaining, it's doing the right thing.

I have no Idea where you are getting these stats, but I can assure you that PUMS graduates get licensed. My graduating year most of the people got residencies, licensed. At the end of the day those were the students that started planning from year 1 on how to do it. If you spend you time partying and travelling rather then studying, working, and making connections; then you will have a bad time.

These people are obviously not students at our school. The majority of 5th years have already passed their NBDE part 2 exams in the US and some have even got placements for when they graduate in their home countries. The majority of time wasters fail in first year, so you're left with mostly dedicated people in second year, where a lot of us then attempt part 1 of the boards. I'm sick of all this propaganda being spread by competing universities.
