    UK applicants need SAT?

    Advertisements

I am applying for the 2012 entry, just wondering do UK applicants need to have SAT? If so, is it the ordinary SAT or subject SAT ?
I am a bit confused about the different SAT. or do uk applicants have an exam given prior to the interview?
And what was the interview like?
I am an undergraduate doing a non science degree but I never did A level science.
However, I am taking distance learning A level Biology and Chemistry. Two GCE is all I can handle right now along with my final year.
So what Physics question do they ask in the interview?

Sorry to throwing quite a few questions

SAT scores are ONLY for American candidates.

Yes you will have to write a short 30 question exam during your interview. You will then have a chance to explain your answers, and also you will have a oral test based on Bio, Chem, and Physics/Math

The questions are all different depending on who is doing the interview. Some are basic, some are difficult. They usually want to see how far you can get with the questions, and push you until you can't answer them.

What program are you interested in?

For some people it's hard to get in for others it's not. It depends on you really. Yes it's a competitive program just like the MD programs.

    I'm in the pharmacy program.

I forgot to ask how is the 30 short questions differ to the oral based ones?
Could you give just 1 or 2 example of short questions.
Is it more like equations or may be draw a diagram of ....etc for the short questions?

The questions they ask you during the interview depend on the Prof that is asking you. They usually want to pick at your brain and see how deep you can go in a certain subject.

For example if you are going into DDS they may ask you questions about teeth. Like how many do you have? What are they made from?

For MD it might be name all the parts of the brain, and what does each part do.

Sometimes you might just get questions that don't have anything to do with science.
