    Failed Interview?

    Advertisements

I'm a Taiwanese student currently applying for 6yr MD from the US.
I went to NY for the interview last December and was told that as I finished my high school studies in Chinese, I should build up my English terminology on science before they can accept me. I was asked to come back and take courses of basic science in English and present them with the score before they contact me for a second interview later this year. So I'm currently doing just that.
But months later I got a mail from the office saying that judging by my performance on the interview last December, they are not able to provide me with a position in the school.
I was wondering if by saying, "Next interview." They are just trying to reject me.
Or is it possible that the letter is only referring to the interview on December, and there is actually interviews later this year that I should prepare for even if I wasn't notified yet.

I know it's a bit easier to apply from Taiwan with an additional fee for the "agent", but I thought I could do it the normal way. I was now left with uncertainty of whether I should try for other schools or persist on this one. They had me hanging there clueless of what to do.

So I came seeking for help of the experienced, even though my situation is probably somewhat different than what usually happens, I thought I'd give it a shot, hopefully someone here will be able to help me out.

Hey Leeben, sorry to hear about the result of your interview. They have 4 interviews in a year and as far as i know there is one in March and another one sometime after May. My best advice is that you call the school and seek to talk with an admission officer, tell them your current status (English class) and if you can still interview for the same session you interviewed for in December. Worst case scenario they would tell you to apply for the next academic cycle. The school's website mentions that they offer assistance to applicant by performing prep/mock interviews and identify areas that applicants need to work on in order to strengthen their application Poznan University of Medical Sciences, Poznań, Poland You should consider reaching out to them in that order and see what help they can render to you.

Just like you mentioned too, it will be in your best interest to apply to other schools so you can have a back up plan. Since Poznan suggested that you take English course then the probability that other Polish schools will say the same is high. I dont like to use the middleman approach either but since your case is a bit different, it might be a good idea to use an agent. Wish you the best of luck!
