Why one should study in Poland

As promised, I will now try to list the reasons for studying in Poland.
I invite everybody to contribute to expanding this list.

We should strive to broaden our intellectual horizon. Living in Poland will do it.
YouTube - Americans are NOT stupid - WITH SUBTITLES

    One could learn Poland's history
YouTube - Polish History in 10 minutes

    Polish food is great
YouTube - TVPL24 sonda: Polskie jedzenie

Jazz is still performed in Poland, unlike the US
YouTube - Big Band Katowice - Sorcerer

One could learn another foreign language, at least to be able to sing
YouTube - Anglik spiewa po Polsku budka suflera - jolka jolka

And understand Polish movies, which are great
YouTube - The Best Of Polish Films

Attend cultural events, like music concerts, including foreign
    YouTube - Omega Gyongyhaju lany

    Including American jazz
    YouTube - Miles Davis - Warsaw 1988

And meet Polish girls, which are most beautiful
    YouTube - Because I'm Polish

And perhaps fall in love there
YouTube - From Poland with love

    But that's just some

As for the comments on anatomy and genetics being unimportant? Crazy talk. And then saying that unless you want to become a surgeon you shouldn't have to waste so much time on it? More crazy talk.
How about we eliminate cardiology unless you want to be come a cardiologist, or maybe get rid of pulmonology because what you're really interested in is opthalmology.
Honestly, why even bother studying medicine, wouldn't it have made more sense to hit up a local university and get a bachelors in whatever specific subject you're interested in?

So,are the polish schools similar to hungary and CR in that the profs wont spoon feed you like in american colleges?
The good thing about them though is that they help you set up rotations in the sates and use a pbl approach unlike hungary and CR(from what i hear)

I dont think they spoon feed you in American colleges, from what I saw it is more laid back in Poland. Less cutting edge research goes on here etc... It is just that US colleges have stronger students. Or perhaps it is an easy middle path = laid back but not spoon fed...
the retakes are not set in stone... they are not limited to 3. I heard of students taking more of them.

I don't think girls are a good idea if you are looking at Medical School... many a man has fallen because of a woman. The students that got a scholarship probably are not that numerous.

I wouldn't say spoon fed. But it's not like it's a maze and you can't get out.

The Polish way of medical education is similar to a Russian way, if not based directly on it (same one used in China btw) where students are not taught by problem based or patient centred methods but block/organ based and learn by talking, talking, and more talking. But it really does depend where you are.
Here in Bialystok you're given two retakes, fail the second one you fail the course and have to repeat. Do that path twice and your kicked out. I think 5 or 6 people from my class have been kicked out already because of that. I Haven't heard of exceptions.

Research is also a hard subject to comment on. If you're interested in the student research circles there a lot to be done. But as students you will always complain that there's not enough practice, not enough patient contact, not enough research, not enough everything. You have to really motivate yourself and do a lot yourself if you want to achieve something more than the basic stuff that your university will give you.

I'm just saying that you can't generalize that everybody who's in a PL med school are here because they didn't get into med schools back home. And I'm not saying that you should choose your specific med school based on a woman.

If to talk from an academic point of view, Poland has lots to offer. And Poland isn't an exclusion. There are various reasons for studying here, such as high-quality universities, adequate prices (studying in this country is much cheaper than in other parts of Europe), dynamic student and cultural life, scholarships for non-EU students available, delicious and affordable cuisine, Polish hospitality and sense of humour. In addition, this country is a member of the Socrates-Erasmus Programme.
