Pt presents to your clinic and complains of increased fatigue as the day goes by. On physical examination, you notice ptosis. Which of the following tests would be appropriate to order?

    a. Serum lyme titer
    b. Muscle biopsy
    c. EEG
    d. CT of the chest
    e. Brain MRI
    f. Urine analysis

Could be Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome, which is associated with small cell cancer of the lung, so I would do a chest CT.
I used to pray and pray for a bike and never got one. Later I learned that God doesn't work that way... so I went out and stole a bike and asked God for forgiveness.

Hatim, I wondered the same, since there are less invasive tests for MG, eg tensilon and AchR Ab tests. I still stick by CT of chest, also because MG can be result of thymoma.

MDive got it right. You do a CT scan of the chest in MG patients because 20% of patients have a thymoma.
