    hi, i was wondering how important is ECG in step 1, also kaplan enough for cardio or do i need other sources? what are high yield topics for cardio? thanks!

    What from what I understand ECGs on step one is very basic. It would be wise to try to read and understand "Rapid Interpretation of EKG's" or "The Only EKG Book You'll Ever Need" before starting clinicals or taking step 1. The better you understand ECGs the easier it is to figure out what is going on (increase/decrease in Ca or K, blocks, prolonged intervals) without having to photographicly memorize each picture. The reading in each of these books is really painless and easy also.
