    Which of the following markers is likely to be elevated if the patient's primary site is in the breast?

    A. Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA)
    B. CA 125
    C. alpha-fetoprotein
    D. CA 27.29
    E. CA 19-9

    None of the above! The correct answer would be CA 15-3 for breast cancer

    CA 19-9 is for Pancreastic Cancer & CA 125 is for ovarian Cancer. PSA (prostate specific antigen) is for prostate adenocarcinoma. AFP is for hepatocellular carcinoma, germ cell tumors, yold sac, or endodermal sinus tumors of testicle/ovary. I know nothing about 27.29 (doesn't ring a bell)

    27.29 is a marker for breast CA.
