    Hematology

    A 23 year old lady comes to your office because she feels very tired, she also states that her menstrual flow is very heavy, she is not taking any vitamin supplements, She has a Htc of 29 and a hemoglobin of 9, her MCV is 70.

    What is the most accurate test to Dx this patient?

    A- ferritin levels
    B- RDW
    C- WBC
    D- Tommy k(We miss you)
    E- Bone marrow Biopsy

    A - seems the right choice should be decreased

    I think its A........Based on the history it seems like iron deficiency.

    you are correct that it's iron deficiency, but ferritin levels are not the most accurate test.

    you are right..its Bone marrow.....increase reticulocytes
