    Chronic Endometritis

    Advertisements

Hi everyone!!! I am having an issue and i was wondering if anyone else has the same problem? I had my daughter 5-25-04 and 3 days later i got so sick i could not eat or drink anything, 2 days later i started bleeding so heavy i would soak through a pad in about 30 minutes. 2 weeks after she was born i went to the doctor and they removed parts of my placenta. I still continued to bleed heavy. i had my tubes tied 7/04 and they did a d&c and laproscopy and found chronic endometritis, due to the placenta being left behind. I was just wondering if anyone has ever had a problem close to this and if so, How were you treated? from some people who i have talked to they said that right after the remainder placenta was removed the were taken to the hospital and given a d&c and IV antibiotics...is this how they are supposed to handle it? what happens if you don't get this done and you just kinda sit there without antibiotics? so far the pain is getting worse and they are recomending a hystorectomy... i scared because i am 22 and i'm afraid that the infection has spread... they already burned the lining of my uterus and i think thats made it worse or mabye even trapped the infection inside of me..please anyone with answers to how this should have been treated in the first place would be so helpful...Thanks Guys

    endometritis

Hi,I was doing some searching myself on chronic endometritis as I was just diagnoised with it after my D&C. It was from retained products after delivery. Anyway, my doctor told me that the antibotics should clear it up. I hope you have since gotten some antibotics to help you. My bleeding has really tapered off now. I think this might do it. I am still having some very light pink bleeding, but not a lot.Take care,Crystal
