MUA premed VS. US post bacc program

    Advertisements

    Hi,
I realized my last post was quite broad. Essentially, I am trying to decide between MUA's premed program or a post-bacc program in the US. I will be graduating from UMass in May with a 3.0 cGPA, which is obviously not competitive enough for US MD schools (or DO schools). I haven't taken the MCATs yet, but I have taken general chemistry, organic chemistry 1, biochemistry (with lab) and microbiology (with lab). I've gotten a C/B in those classes. I've already been accepted to MUA's premed program, as well as various post bacc programs. Has anyone ever been in this situation and can help me weigh the pros and cons?

Have you considered University of New England DO Online PreMed program then apply to US MD or DO schools?

"Many health professions programs accept these courses but we encourage you to check with the schools to which you are planning to apply to verify that the courses are acceptable before you register."

it sounds like you have the premed requirments for MUA all except for the mcat....if you add that I dont see why you wouldnt get directly into the med program...
