well the main reason why i chose MUA is because its a great school. they have a good reputation, and they prepare their students well for the challenges ahead. i believe that together with hard work and effort on my end, MUA will not only give me my second chance to continue my dream, but will enable me to continue to follow my life long goal of becoming a physician.

i feel very confident in deciding on attending MUA if i get accepted, and i am very very very anxious to hear back from them. i applied for the august session chose january and may for my second and third choice as well.

bucoexplor300, did u apply only for january? or did u apply for august and was accepted for january. anyways i hope to see you there!
Dr. Costa Good Luck with everything and thanks alot!

Dr. Costa, I picked MUA based on several reasons. First, their pre-med program is only two semesters where most schools in the Caribbean are three to four semesters. Second, MUA has been around for over 10 years and has a proven track record along with high USLME scores, and last, and most important was cost. Their school has a great reputation with a lot lower cost than most. The only negative I see is having to pay for the pre-med program out of pocket and keeping my credit scores high enough to get student loans throughout the course of medical school. Although Windsor University has cheaper tuition rates, the pre-med program is longer and the pass rate for the USLME for students from Windsor are less than at MUA. MDinNYC, yes I did only apply for January. January is a great time to start because you start med school in August and you match on time for residency.

Yup!...agree with both of U....MUA does stand out in terms of reputations etc....

But 'bucoexplor300' and 'MDinNYC'...u know that u have to maintain a GPA of 3.0 and higher through pre-med to be accepted readily in to MD1 rt?...coz i emailed the admissions dept and thats wat was told to me....

Im hoping that shouldnt be a prob for me...but for some reason chem gets to me!..

On a seperate note...where u guys comming from?

    Im in Vancouver Canada....

I believe you must maintain a 3.0 in pre med to be admitted into md1. I believe if we pay attention in class and study we should have no problems making a 3.0, study groups are great idea! I will be comming from Joplin, Missouri.

you shouldn't wait to apply...since it's rolling admissions you should apply now...and I believe you can specifically choose 'Jan 2011' currently...good luck!
