hi everyone. I'm from USA and I got accepted into lodz and warsaw. My question is which one is better? If you want to come back to practice medicine in USA would you choose lodz or warsaw? thanks

Both programs are academically similar, Lodz is about 2400 Euros cheaper a year. A thing of importance to consider is where do you think you would strive the best?

In the past, Warsaw's medical university has had the advantage of gaining access to all the latest in medical education resources because it's in the capital city. But in the last several years, and with the help of European Union money, MUL has invested heavily in its faculty, teaching hospitals, laboratories, and other educational facilities. The English Division benefits from these recent improvements its students receive instruction from the same professors in the same departments that have placed the Polish Division at the top of medical school rankings.

What was most lacking at MUL up until recently were the standards of evaluation. The number of classes that make use of the American NBME shelf exams as the method of final evaluation in both pre-clinical and clinical classes increases each academic year. Combined with the resources I mentioned above, the resulting goal-driven experience enables the current generation of students to achieve success while at MUL which may not be available to the same extent at other Polish med schools. This is not to say that their programs won't prepare you to practice in the English-speaking world just as well as MUL's program, because they will, but MUL has put together a truly multi-faceted approach to medical education that is improved upon each year.

Lodz compared to Warsaw is like a sinking ship (Lodz meaning boat of course)
