Can I do my clinical rotations in Canada or the U.S. if I join Gdansk?

    Advertisements

Hi there, I got four questions:

    1. Is the medical degree taught in English?

    2. I have a B.Sc. Honours chemistry degree from Canada. Does the university offer 4 years of medical study?

    3. Can I do my clinical rotations (I guess years 3 and 4) in Canada or the U.S. if I joined Medical University of Gdansk?

    4. Which European medical schools allow clinical rotations in the U.S. and Canada?

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Sincerely,
    Asmarino

    Hey Amarino,

I can't answer much of the Q's since I don't go to the uni but I do know the medical degree is taught in English by the Polish professors there, so their pronunciation can be a little off (I have spoken with the professor who teaches Anatomy and I saw the list of professors who teaches there). And I think the clinical rotations are done in Gdnask as they will teach you medical Polish in the first 2 years there.

Sorry I couldn't be much help.

You can go ahead and study in English. Only a 6 year M.D. program. (There is currently a discussion in Brussels centre for european medical education as to the validity of 4 year M.D. programs in Europe. They may be changed, or cancelled completely due to an insufficient number of hours of study. You may complete your summer clinical rotations in north america, they are valid and recognized here. As for other schools, no idea.
