I just would like to congratulate all of you, January 2006 entering class ( MD1 and Pre-med ). Good luck to all of you and make sure to study hard and make MUA and all of us proud . Remember, Medical university of the Americas means us, students. and our school success depends on us. Lets make it happened folks and lets put MUA on the top of the Caribbean Medical schools list .

just put in ur time and study hard and keep at it.. there will be ups and downs.. but rest assured if u put in ur time u will reap the rewards... theres enough alumni out there now (myself and my friends) that are more than willing to answer questions and guide u along the way as issues arise.. so besides the admin itself.. u have a decent foundation to fall back on.. u just need to do ur part... and go into all of this knowing it is NOT going to be easy.. cuz its not.. but ull be glad in the end that it wasnt easy because u will be a lot more competent in the end....

StudentMD, Please I do not mean to divert from the subject matter.Based on your personal experience, how do students handle blackouts generally. And how long does it take before the situation is rectified.
Keep the faith no matter what the turbulence may seem like. Tough times do not last but tough people do and have every reason to laugh at last.

from what i gather blackouts are more of an inconvenience than anything.. dont occur nearly as often and as long as they used to 5 yrs ago...

you just have to deal with them, same way u deal with anything. .. take ur books to sethups or sunshines or turtle beach and study there.. thats what we did

we had one semester where thered be no power the entire weekend before black monday.. and itd happen every s ingle black monday.. lol we were sure there was a conspiracy.. but u persevere and put it behind u.. i have family down there now and i know its no where close to being as bad as it has been in the good ol pre generator days..
