withdrawing out of school - how?

    Advertisements

I have a question for you guys. Lets say that you enroll into the premed program and you dont want to continue. How do you withdraw? do you need letter of permission from the dean or something?? what kind of circumstances do they look for??

    thanks,

If you're on the island and taking classes now I would personally go and talk with the Dean. He is very nice, friendly and caring and might be able to help you resolve any problems you may be having. Your faculty advisor may be able to help as well. If you're dead set on leaving the program then it's no big deal...you just let them know that you are leaving although I would get a deferment in case you decide to come back. It never hurts to leave bridges intact.

It would be very necessary to allow yourself the liverage of coming back into the program when you have resolved the circumstances that warranted your withdrawal from the program. Therefore ask for deferment as opposed to complete withdrawal from school. That would save you the headache of doing fresh set of application to get back to school.
Keep the faith no matter what the turbulence may seem like. Tough times do not last but tough people do and have every reason to laugh at last.
