    Advertisements

Hey guys does anyone know how you get around on the island? Does MUA provide a shuttle service that takes you to town or are you on your own getting taxi's and busses

MUA has a few buses but they drive like maniacs and it's crowded.
The H buses are abundant but crowded and not much fun.
You can't really walk from Oualie to campus without being saturated in sweat so
a car or scooter is a good choice. Nevis needs more scooters, electric bikes, etc, but there doesn't seem to be any motivation to import more. Any socially conscious students out there?
Maybe you can help implement a change....

I don't know if I would want to drive a scooter frequently on the island. All it takes is 1 H-bus to run you over to offset the benefits. I used my bike a lot but stayed off the main road as much as possible. I think drinking and driving is still legal there; just saying.

I found the H-bus's frequent enough to get around. I used it time to time and never had an issue. I did think a couple a times that the bus was going to go off the road because the driver felt like he was practicing for the indy or nascar in the van. I didn't have a car but had a lot of friends that had cars. most people car pool to get around.
