    Looking for Housing New Student

    Advertisements

Been accepted for the May semester. Somehow I wasn't assigned a dorm and i'm not happy with the housing being assigned by MUA . Looking to rent a room near campus.. Please let me know if anyone is looking for a roommate.
    THANKS!

What did you end up being assigned?

I originally requested to stay in the dorm and I asked to be placed in a single room. I recently got an email stating that I was placed in a house with a roommate. I wrote her back and that same day I was reassigned in a single house ( I was told that there are only 60 dorms which did not accommodate all of the new May 2011 students.)

Something to consider, the Dorms are not on campus or owned by the school. They are very basic, a bed, desk, chair, microwave, mini fridge, and bathroom. It's really a blessing if you're in a house or apartment. If you like it you can stay at the end of the semester and not have to move, like you would from the dorms. That's my 2 cents worth.

    Good point.

Do you happen to know/heard of the landlord named Steve Tyson?

I was assigned a 1 bedroom/ 1 bathroom house with him, and I was told to email him for more details. I dont have an address or anything, have you heard of him?

    Thanks,

    Kat

My landlord is also going to be Steve Tyson. He hasn't responded to my email yet. Should I bring pots and pans?

Did you try the alternate email? He said the kitchen has a stove and refrigerator, so I would assume so. I'm bringing some.
