Value of MUA Pre-Med as Prep. for MCAT?

    Advertisements

    Hi all,

Assuming a non-science background, do you guys think the Pre-Med Program is adequate to prepare someone to take the MCAT?

I know it excludes Physics. Aside from having to self-train for the Physics part, do you feel that it covers everything else in science? (I'm not concerned about verbal reasoning here).

    Thx

I suggest you take a kaplan review course for the mcat and do lots of questions.

the coverage of the pre-med course is geared towards prepairing students for the md program, not the mcat.

i do not believe that pre med at nevis would suffice to get a high enough score to be on the mcats to be considered for an American Medical School. Apart from not teaching physics, i believe that it prepares you very well for MED1.
