    Class action lawsuit against MUA?

    Advertisements

Anyone interested in filing a class action lawsuit against MUA for false advertisement? On the mua.edu website it says "...seven students assigned per cadaver." when in fact the real numbers is close to 17.

Feel free to voice your opinion, and dean you can share your thoughts too.

I hope you are joking because
    1. They have us divided into 2 groups, so there is no more than 8 per cadaver per time slot
    2. The university reserve the right to make these changes which you would have noticed IF YOU CARRIED ON READING.... in fact at the bottom of the home page it says

'All information is deemed reliable but is not guaranteed and should be verified by the viewer'

Personally I am not happy with the over crowded anatomy lab situation but its not really something I would make a big fuss about...

    Ridiculous...

I looked on the website and it says in the FAQs section, Q.Are there real cadavers or models? A.Students dissect real cadavers in Gross Anatomy and there are approximtely seven students assigned per cadaver.

I'm sure they would like to keep it at no more than 7 but I would not look at this as a guarntee made by the school to no more than 7 people per cadaver. I'm asssuming this would be the proof for your class action law suit. This is ridiculous. The school gets as many cadavers as they can, they are doing plastination, and they also have the digital versions with tutorials for people to use. If you really want a cadaver all to your self just come in at night time and you can take your pick, plus if you are really industrious just ask the professors and they will come in and personally tutor you...

In the mean time stop making ridiculous remarks and just study.

    My opinion

Just my opinion but responding to posters like this original poster just fuelstheir fire and keeps the issue alive longer. These are not in my opinion professional, constructive posts as I have said many times. These kinds of posts do nothing but hurt the school they do not lead to positive change. They are in the spirit of tearing down not building up. Respect. Becoming a doctor is a wonderful thing and I personally feel should be reserved for those with demonstrated competence professionalism caring and who know how tocommunicate negatively or positively in a constructive way that doesn't hurt anyone's feelings or do your colleagues in or give thema down. Uplift your colleagues learn to be a positive influence in nedicine! Then you will truly be ready to be a doc in my humble opinion.

You guys should be happy. At least you have them. Ours (St. Matt's) are made of plastic and its the ration is like 20 to 1. We're owned by the same parent company and it seems like you guys shouldnt complain too much.
Do your part and God will help you more than you ever wished.

so basically since the disclaimer at the bottom makes it legal, so does that mean it's also ethical....

How about this "Bewild Medical University has never had a student score below 260"

It's legal but is it ethical for me to you, no, why b/c It's deceiving...

anytime a issue is brought up Dean and his supporters give an excuse as oppose to actually fixing the problem.
