    Everybody....listen Up!!!!!

    Advertisements

You all want to be a physician someday right? We all know why all of us end up on this beutiful island to persude our dream!!! SO APRRECIATE YOUR CHANCE OF BECOMING ONE and STOP BASHING EVERY LITTLE FREAKING THING GOING ON THIS COUPLE WEEKS. I AM NOT ADVOCATING MUA OR ANYTHING. I am currently in Med5 and there are certainly things/issues that I do not agree with BUT we must understand that we are in Caribbean. There is no perfect world!!! I don't understand why some students questioned/ridiculed dean T. Going into this semester, I faces a lot of stresses and I am not doing good in classes but that doesn't mean I take my anger on somebody else. I personally think the dean is working really hard to help us get train properly and put thing in an organize way (which been lacking b/4 dean T=Turbo arrived). In my mind, I imagine dean T like an Turbo Engine firing up and motivating everyone of us to study harder to become a good physician in the future. I really think he genuinely trying to help us all especially to med5 students. I do believe that the harder you work now the better outcome you will receive and that exactly what Turbo man been doing. Face it, nothing come easy...SO APPRECIATE WHAT THE MAN DOING FOR YOU. I AM NOT KISSING *** ANYBODY OR GETTING ANY CREDIT BY WRITING THIS NOTE. I just want everyone to know what I think because I am sick of hearing MUA this, MUA that, dean T this and that from the last few weeks. If you are not agree or dislike certain thing...go talk to the dean straight.
To med5, good luck to all of us and hope everyone of us pass this semester together. "EVERYNIGHT IS A BLOCK NIGHT" and remember, If we don't work hard now. No body is going to help us but only us can accomlish our goal and dream.

    I couldn't agree more!

There are some of us who are busy in trying to focus on getting past the semester. Enough with the juvenile behavior, we're all going to be colleagues some day. There IS no perfect system in the Caribbean, but an effort is always being made to bring our education system up to par with a U.S/ Canadian school. As to how realistic that is, i don't know, one can only hope right? Empty vessels make the most noise, if you've had issues with the school, why not take it up in a more mature manner? Insulting the Dean and bashing the school isn't a solution. I can respect the opinions of some disgruntled students on here, but some have taken it to the extreme (to the point where they've forgotten that being a doctor requires a person to be polite, diplomatic and professional). Yes major changes have been made and a lot of us are not happy with them, but that's the way life goes, we'll have to deal with these types of changes in a hospital setting when it comes to our clinicals or residency anyway. MUA has a lot of work to do no doubt about that, but it IS doing something and i can live with that.

Got to back to my studying, aghhh.
    Good luck everyone.

I agree with Cheeky Cow. If you want to make sure that the dean or someone at MUA reads your complaint why not post it in the "Anonymous comments" section of MUAcampus.org, if you leave it here someone from MUA might see it or they might not. I posted a comment there once and I received a response quickly and with details on what was going to be done about it. If if makes you feel better post it here and there, that way everyone knows that you made a comment. I mean the reason you are posting something negative is because you want something fixed right?

    Amusing....
If you want something fixed, have the courage to approach the dean or school officials yourself!
Harping on about it and insulting the dean and school, will get you the attention, but it might not be enough to make a significant change.

I'm still not sure about making complaints in person. I think I'm still traumatized from the previous admin. The new dean seems approachable but I think I'll give it a little more time before I give my precious trust to anyone.

You do that! I wouldn't take my own sweet time about it though, nip it in the bud as soon as you can. As for the previous admin, i can't comment there seeing as how i haven't personally had any bad experiences with them. But that was THEN, this is NOW. We've been told on numerous occassions to approach the new admin or SGA with complaints or any reservations. Take advantage of it, you pay tuition after all!

No, I'll do it my way. I like to learn from other people's mistakes so I'll take my time to see how this administration treats people who think they can come up to their face and complain. Thanks for the advice though. In the mean time, I still recommend that if people want to complain about something but they don't want to say it face to face, the anonimous comments section at muacampus.org is a better alternative than valueMD. Or you can follow colic cow's advice and confront Dr. L or Dr. T about your complaint.

    Complaints

People who wish to remain cloaked can always PM me here or at the MUA website. I am here for all of you and to make the changes we need as we need them to the best of my ability.

Being a Doc is a wonderful thing, studying is hard enough if you have issues always let me know.
