yea that's kinda messed up, this is a free forum where our opinions and ideas should be expressed freely.........both positive and negative things. if we are experiencing negative things, that's what we'll post....and vice versa..

    True, but...

Value MD is full of nothing but peoples opinions, some good some bad, some accurate some dead wrong... But the complaints far out weigh the praise's, which is warranted most of the time considering what goes on at MUA. But the dean has done a bunch of stuff for us Med 5's and just wanted to see some of that appreciated by letting people on value MD know. Its not fishy, its the least we can do for someone who is finally trying to make changes here at MUA.

Let's get this straight. So, you post comments based on the Dean's request. Is the content of the comments dictated to you as well? Or you are allowed to freelance? Finally, what kind of rewards are you expecting in return? If you do not see a blatant conflict of interest in this kind of activity by a "select" group of students, you might have missed the point of taking medical ethics. Your opinions should be your own! Not prompted by a second party. Then, and only then, we can be sure that what is written is authentic.

I only post things that I see going on... Your right, if people are told what to write and when to do it, then it defeats the whole purpose of this Forum. The fact of the matter is that most people on ValueMD use it as a place to vent frustrations, I do it as well. But the dean saying, "hey, what about all this stuff we did right and what about the policies that are changing" is not un-ethical. Its just an attempt to get people to write about something positive for a change. If nothing positive is happening then nobody should write about it, but if it is, then it needs to be written about so that other students can see whats happening.
