    Advertisements

Hey guys! I am wondering if anyone can tell me if MUA is accredited in all 50 states of US? Do they offer financial aid? I did some research on the website, but could not get much info. there? I am considering applying here...... I was accepted into Ross Merp program and waiting on an interview from SGU, and in the process of applying to AUC!!!! Could someone please give me advice? Thanks....

Oh yeah, and I also wanted to know if it is too late to apply for the Sept. 08 term!!!!

maybe its going backwards coz we have a brand new building which should be ready in a month or so???After this building is done, MUA would be right up there with the good schools in terms of facilities.

Nope it doesn't have all 50 states. The states that the Dean said are problems are: California, Texas, and Tennessee. There are a few more, but not sure on the specifics. If you got into Ross, just go. I'm not saying MUA is bad, but I think Ross might be better off in the long run, especially if you want the freedom of practicing in all 50 states. If you want my opinion, everyone talks down about every school, you really don't get a real idea of how the school is until you visit it. I'd definately recommend visiting the campus you plan on going to before you go.

I suggest you read this post:

Most of what the OP says about the island is true. Anything else, I'm not so sure about since I've just started here.

The first time pass rate is 65%...what did u expect it to be?84%(same as states?).Lets not kid ourselves,98% of the ppl are here coz they cudnt get into U.S. schools, that includes you and me.Now if the gpa of the avg. student at caribbean schools is 0.2-0.5 lower than U.S. med schools, they have much better support system and facilities, more time to actually go thru the cirriculum, who do you honeslty think will have a higher pass rate? The only gaurantee in these caribbean med school is that you get a shot at Step1, you get rotations in the states and thats it.Rest is upto you, many kdis come here, just pass every semester and then fail in the steps. What do they expecT?can you really make thru med school with the same habits that got you into offshore schools in the first place? There are however other students who score high 90s on their Step1,from the same SHADY/pooh poohTY/ schools that whinners complain abt. As far as different caribbean schools go,it wont make much difference on ur application...its still off shore.I mean if you want a bigger school, few more facilities and are willing to pay abt 120,000 more over 4 yrs,SGU is for you.If you want to pay 60,000 more, go for Ross and AUC(just make sure u dont walk outside at night). But no matter where you go,you will have to do the work urself.
