If anyone see her around could you please be so kind as to let me know, or if you could please lend her the cell phone so I can call her for a short period.

relax. try calling the school and leaving a messege for her to call you. She's very likely just settling in . please note that typically names and personal information are not permitted here however we'll assume you really are talking about a close relativrer and leave this up here for a few days. good luck in researching her but im sure she is just fine. remember: she's not in the US anymore and immediate access to call home sometimes isnt as easy.

Yes, trying to make a phone call is really hard. I have my cell phone, but I don't have the ability to call anyone. There is no T-Mobile roaming here, even though the website says it does.

You need to understand: these arent campuses and dorms like in the US. People dont have phones in the rooms and there arent usually offices in the dorms. I would call the schools office monday and ask for how to get a note to someoone on campus. good luck.

As others have stated, it's hard to make phone calls here back to the US. Even if she brought a cell from the US, she won't get service here as there is no T-mobile, US cellular, whatever.

As far as I know there is no office number at the Rawlings dorm, but leave a message at the main school number for your sister to call you.

Nobody will be at school until Monday morning at 8 am. Just call then tomorrow and ask for the housing coordinator. I am sure you have her name as that is who your sister should have been in contact with. Tomorrow also should be orientation for all students new to the island, so that is when the administrators can verify if your sister is there. If need be, I am sure they can deliver a message to her during orientation. There is a gentleman that is in charge of the dorms, and that would be giving people the keys and helping them move in. His name is Mr. C (PM me for his name) but I do not have his number. Maybe someone on this forum knows and could tell you. He has a cell phone and is most likely at the dorms all weekend helping people move in. Good luck

There's a payphone at the rawlins dormatory and the restaurant sells phone cards. Also Mr. C. would allow people to use his vonage phone if a student asked. Like the previous posts, your sister should be fine. Very small island nothing to worry too much about. She probably doesn't have EC money to use the pay phone and doesn't know you can get phone cards at the restaurant.
