    Another stupid girlie question

    Advertisements

Ya'all are gunna hate me for asking all these dumb girlie questions like how do I get all my clothes where do I get my hair done and NOW......

NAIL SALONS? I googled it and got nothing!!! Ummm I *NEED* fills every 2 weeks. That is NOT negotiable! Are there any nail salons on the island and if so, does anyone know how much for an acrylic or powder fill?

I don't think there are nail salons...maybe one inside the Four Seasons.

That aside, you may need to consider "quitting" the nail habit. Nothing wrong for nails for laypersons, but have you thought about what is entailed in a physician's work, and that of a medical student?

Imagine dissecting in gross anatomy. You will need to be wearing gloves. Unless your nails don't go past your fingertips, nails have a chance of tearing open the gloves. Sometimes, people work with bare hands on the cadavers. You probably don't want the cadaver juice or the fat (some bodies will have lots to remove) stuck under there and go home with you as you eat.

And imagine physical diagnosis. Would you want a doctor to palpate your abdomen with long nails?

    Think about it.

i don't usually keep them very long - although i have gotten lazy about it lately cuz i don't want to waste money getting them cut back every single time - but most of the time they're no longer than any girl's natural nails.

thanks for the heads up though.

although, in my personal opinion - women (and to an extent men) look unprofessional when their hands don't look nice. unmanicured nails make a bad first impression on a lot of people and it kind of says that you don't take care of yourself. just my 2 cents. nails gotta be lookin fresh haha

I'm jealous. If I don't get mine done every 12 days they look like I'm homeless

they have nail saloons and one lady here who cuts hair went to school in NY, these ladies here take care of themselves and know how you feel, but honestly there is no time for anything, brushing your teeth is just enough.
