    Advertisements

Sorry, newbie here, I was just wondering if Nevis require visa for US students? And what about parents who decides to come along for maybe a week or so? And how do we apply to stay longer in the country, does the school do it for you?

For US citizen/permanent resident, short stay visa will be stamped at the airport entry. During registration, school will collect your passport to request for student visa to cover duration of program.

I am a permanent resident of USA and I had to get a tourist visa before hand. Its very simple you just go to their website, print out the application form and send it in will all the required supporting documents and mail it to them. They returned my passport within two weeks. The visa is valid for a month or two i believe (starting from the date that my ticket is booked for).

it is not required to have a visa from Canada or the US to enter into Nevis.

However, if you plan on being here a while (not sure the cut off) but you will require a visa. The school takes care of the visa for you but requires your passpost and certain documentation. The orientation package states that you should have documentation such as immuninization document, clean police report, passport photos, and have a negative HIV test. These documents are used to obtain your Visa when you are here.

As long as your parents don't plan on staying a while they don't require a visa (according to information from several months ago). As long as you have the proper documentation the school takes care of your visa.
