    Why MUA?
Besides the education and good professors, MUA has an established SGA that speaks for the student body; newspaper (Vector) that keeps the student body informed; student body that is supportive of each other; activities to keep the students SANE. There are various activities to do here such as diving, snorkeling, hiking, swimming,... there are two gyms on the island to keep you fit; various restaurants to eat (students get at least 10% discount); two casinos on the island... fishing, lobster festival in June/July; And if you get island fever and need to get off the island... two airlines (20-30% discount) or get on one of three water taxis to the mainland; Healthcare is available... some of our professors not only teach but practice on the island or in Belize City; They bring that practical experience to the classroom.

Need more information? PM me... Thank you

When choosing a school in the carribean, I was looking for a school with the approriate curriculum to prepare me for my USMLE and also a place with a good study environment. And also a school with a reasonable tuition. I can say MUA will give you that. There are brand new professors here at MUA that are just too brilliant and will go out of their way to make sure the students are prepared. Student dont live in dorms with 3-5 students in a room. There are nice all inclusive apt with linens and entertainment that range from $200 -$600 a month depending on how you want to live. And they are all walking distance from the school. San pedro was featured on the Wild On program on E! television as one of the best party islands. And the island has the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world. I can go on and on about the school and the island but its best for you to find yourself.
If you have any specific questions please PM and I will give you the blunt and honest answer.

    hi

I really like your reply to some people who like to sprad negative ideas about things without having a positive outlook. Would you please tell me more about the school, How long have you been there, and how is the school;can we get financial aid, and is it an easy process. Are there anybody with family,a nd how is the condition. I am preparing to apply, and realy curious to know. I have been in Bleiz, but I am not sure is this the same place I visited. Anyway it will be nice that you give me a detail explanation.

    thanks

This school is located in San Pedro, an island just off the coast of Belize. You take a 15min flight or a 45min boat ride to get to the island. MUA Belize is the only medical school here.

As for Loans, majority of our students go through Teri Loans and there are some additional loan programs thats in the works as well.

There have been a few students with families and its been very accomidating for them. Even this semester we had a student come down here with her three kids and so far things seem to be going well.

    Hope this helps!

Right now MUA -Belize has rotations in Atlanta, Chicago, Canada, Ireland and England, but they are working on getting alot more. You have to stay at MUA for 5 semesters (on the island) in order to complete your basic sciences.

I've heard that its not always good to transfer from school to school. For some people its manditory to transfer and they have no other option, unless its a circumstance like that then I would suggest transfering. It would be your call to make!

I can help you get in touch with a person who is here with a family but I will have to get back to you on that.

I sent the admission an e-mail, but I did not get any response regarding my kind of unique situation;I am finishing a graduate dgree(Itec), and wonder should I go on the same route of somebody with no bac degree! It would be so nice if you let me know. Thanks again.
