    Island similar to Grand Cayman?

Cost of living is very high. I am currently a student at St matthew's and the school has very crowded facilities but is a safe island. Everything is very expensive.

Is the environment safe, secure, sanitary with modern facilities?

    All comments are welcome

    thank you

    Exactly What You Need

Hi..this island is NOT crowded and the costs are MUCH LOWER than Grand Caymen. Also the school campus building is state of the art and rather large. On the island itself we have access to landlines and cell phones. 24-7 internet...wireless..your choice of dial-up, cable or high-speed DSL. It is a tourist island with modern facilities. LOTS of AMERICAN OWNED AND OPERATED BUSINESSES...lots of fun activities including mini-golf and danceclubs on the island. Exotic resturants to cheap eats. 5-star resort hotels to student housing buildings. I am a student at MUA Belize and i am very happy with my choice.

    amend the post

Very safe...go for walks on the beach at night..not a problem...get yourself a homecooked style meal made from scratch for as little as U.S. $3.00....buy yourself a 5-gallon barrel of premium filtered drinking water..U.S. $2.50...or shop at the american style supermarkets which have ATM machines and credit cards are accepted. Need a health check up? stop by the brand new PolyClinic. How about a slice of New York Pizza and a drink for lunch? U.S $2.50 so it's fair to say the island is manageable and a lot cheaper than other places. come see us/transfer you won't regret it ..can't wait to meet you!

COME VISIT before you take anyones word

    Hello

Listen the old saying "sometimes the grass is greener on the other side" is very true..

You should go and VISIT before making any decisions, what suits one person may not suit another. The cost that one person determines as good for what they get may not be the same judged by another for the quality and/or quantity they get. You will not regret the time you took out to visit..

P.S : the faculty you will find at MUA-belize is truly the best. Dr. Zuni... who teaches Microbiology & Immuno as well as Dr. Mend... who teaches Pathology and Neuroscience will truely be one of those individuals that inspires you for life. Both these men are absolutely the best human beings as well as professors. You will learn alot from them which will help you for USMLE or PLAB. There are other professors that are good as well, such as Dr. Ore.. who teached Path 2 and Dr. Del.. who teaches a bit of everything i suppose, and since the class size is very very small you will learn a little bit more then what you have learned thus far at SMU but at the end alot is dependent on what you do.

    Good luck with your decision..
