    California approval re: AUA

    Advertisements

I'm an alumnus of AUA and matriculated with them after the 2007 cutoff.
I want to confirm the only state alumni after that cutoff would have a problem with is kansas. I have interests in Florida, another challenging medical board, and wanted to confirm that if Cali doesn't have a problem with aua, that Fl wouldn't either. The caveat is that all work has been done acgme/greenbook.

FL doesn't require all green rotations. Don't see why you would have a problem there. For CA you would need to apply and be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

I thought the case-by-case caveat was pre-2007, I'm matriculated after the Jan 2007 cutoff, so I believe the way the recommendation was written post-Jan 2007 wouldn't be under the case-by-case standard?

Also just wanted to confirm this means 50 state approval if you fit the post 07 and all greenbook criteria?

I mean, in Fl and Tx's view, how is aua now any different than the big 4?

in tx you would still be considered on a case by case basis (as is saba) since AUA is not on the TMBs list of equivilent schools (only SGU,ross,AUG, and UAG are on that list).

why don't you call the FL state medical board and get an answer from them? seems like that would be your best bet
