CAHSU vs ST. ESUTASIUS vs ST. MATHEWS

    Advertisements

I have a couple of questions about CAHSU:
    1. Why is there not a forum for this school
    2. How are the living conditions here n belize
    3. Where would you prefer to go if you got into CAHSU, St. Eustasius and St. Mathews? Why?

If you fail at AUC, SGU, or Ross why not transfer to SMU, if you fail at SMU, why not try another SMU.

    license

ok options... say what you will, but when it comes down to it, when i get my M.D., it will mean just as much as yours does. st. matts is a good school, but remember it was not approved by CA. so as far as licensing issues go, we are pretty much on the same playing field. i know st matts has residents in tx, but we'll need to watch and see what happens if/when they apply for permanent licensure. and truely, i hope for the best. i hope they get it, b/c they deserve it.

and when i get my degree, and start practicing, i will deserve it as well. i study as hard, if not harder than even a lot of U.S. students. do you work your trash off all day, and still wake up at 3-4am to study for boards? and nothing is going to stop me from practicing in the U.S. as well. i won't be in CA, i most likely won't be in TX, but i will be licensed.

I completely agree with you wcb!!! At the end of the day, you will go asleep with the same MD behind your name than any other medical student.

and one more thing, just to keep things in perspective... you ask 99.9% of the physicians in the US, and they won't know the difference between CAHSU and St. Matts. Some of the "might" know SGU, and ROSS, AUC too, and Saba is starting to get recognition. St Matts started in '97, CAHSU in '96, to most of them whether you graduated from St. Matts or CAHSU it means pretty much the same thing, you're an IMG!

The pain is that not too many of them see it that way.
You are so right... and whatever international schools they attend, they will always be considered IMGs.
We should just get along and help each other out any way possible.
I need to think about something...maybe you know what...
