    Driving in Eastern Europe (Europe)

    Hi, was just wondering if one could study say in czech rep. and drive on a British driving license if i were to attend charles?

    Yes. Best with the new-style photo licenses. Like most foreigners the Czechs are deeply suspicious of our older flimsy paper ones that don't even have a photo.

    if you're seriously considering having a car in prague, you'd have to be insane... czechs drive like crazy people, people get hit by trams everyday and there is no where to park... best stick to public transit...

    Hey, well i wasn't thinking about taking my bentley to prague with me ^o) lol, more like an already hammerd old run around ........... yano .......... just to fit in lol.

    driving in prague is not a great idea. the public transport is great and cheap. if you do drive, you will likely be parking so far away that the tram stops are closer. the only person i knew that drove in prague got his car stolen (and it was a very average car) within a week, too.

    the only thing nice would be for trips outa town. but, flights are pretty darn cheap almost anywhere out of prague.
