i was told by many consultants that russia is in fore-fronts in med education

No offence to any russian students, but who are you trying to kidd? Russian education at the forefront? ****, i don't think so, i think they are more trailing in that department behind:

    England
    USA
    Germany
    Switzerland
    France

    etc.

man, i can bet you that the consultants that told you that were russian?

Orphan, is your decision to go to Russia based on your financial situation?
If not you should really consider other countries in eastern Europe, such as Czech Rep. ,Poland and Hungary.

You should especially avoid Russia if you happen to be dark-skinned or something like that, since Russia is having massive problems with extreme right wing groups

DR_DGB_NYQ: Donít be so snooty, no one made fun of ur previous question when you asked about something so vain as the tuition fees of different universities.

    hmm..dr evil
mah decision to go for russia is obviously based on financial situation..i can max spend 57000 usd for all expenses including tution fee, accomodation, food etc for complete course and moreover i needa join this year itself..as i didn't know that for european countries i gotta apply in advance. so i can't wait for an year..everything made me go for russia..i'm fair skinned so racism won't be problem but i'm concerned about studies..i've talked to students from mah country who are studying there and were here for summer break...they showed no sign of discontent...studies are good, infrastructure is good too..but i'll get it well when i reach there. anyways..thanks for yer advice..if i can apply for admn this year in EU then lemme know..thank you very much ..

    address

    Russian State Medical University:
1, Ostrovitjanova str, 117997, Moscow, Russia

It is located between metro stations of red and yellow lines in the south-east. I would like to recommend you that a university representative is to meet you at the airport and transfer to a school/dorm: it might be required by the immigration office of the airport and they will help you with accommodation and registration.
    Good luck

Dr.Evil, it is sometimes better to get the information off a student or previous who has attended an institution, such as tuition fees etc. than school websites, as you will notice some of the russian websites were last updated ........ when the sites were first launched, and that is to why i enquired about the tuition fees in different institutions.

As for russian education being at the forefront of medical education, you could not be further from the truth, sure they probably have turned out a few good doctors, but eaven spartan and IUHS have managed to do that.

Dont take a chance, research research and, you guessed it, research., as a few posters have said to people in your position in the past, don't go to russia for your education unless you have been rejected from the other EU countries.

Also, i can tel you that the clinical facilities are leaps and bounds BEHIND that of the UK/USA. If you google russian hospitals, you will find websites charities asking for clinical donations, from needles to hospital beds! You cannot really expect to get a good clinical education in russia.

and dr.evil, my plans if i do not get accepted into a british university are to attend UWI, but supprisingly i won't be scrimping and scraping for the money
