Any 4-year med schools in Poland let you do 3rd and 4th years in the U.S.?

Do any Polish med schools allow you to do your 3rd and 4th year clinical rotations back in the States? In other words, like the Caribbean schools where you do basic sciences in another country and then your clinicals in U.S. hospitals. I'm considering the Polish schools affiliated with Hope Medical Institute.

    away rotations

Jag allows you to do up to one year's worth of clinical rotations away from the home school. I believe some folks recently posted that as of this year, Poznan allows one year away as well.

Yep, Poznan allows you to do one year of "elective" rotations during 4th year abroad, but no "core" rotations.

both Silesia and Lublin offer 2 full years of US rotations. However, students cannot apply directly to the schools. They can only apply through agents, Hope medical institute, from US

If you do year 3 and 4 rotations all in the US, how are you graded for those rotations? Do you have to go back to Poland to take exams for year 3 or 4?

    2 years in the US

Wouldn't that eliminate the possibility of students practicing in NY after residency(considering the 12 week rule)?

The 12 week rule only applies to doing more than 12 weeks of rotations in the state of NY, and you can't do your residency in NY. You are allowed to do as many of your rotations as you want in the u.s. As long as you don't do more than 12 weeks in the state of NY you will be fine when it comes to getting a license in NY. Also, this only applies to schools that are not approved by NY. If you go to the NY medical licensing website there should be a list of schools that do not have to follow this rule, they are allowed to do all of their rotations in NY as well as residency.

    hi

hi, University of Lodz in Poland offers 2 full years of clinical rotations in the US, however just like Selisia and Lublin, you have to apply via an agent. In the case of University of Lodz, you have to send your application to Alliance Institute of Medicine.

    good luck!

So how are you graded during years 3 and 4 if you do them all in the U.S.? Must you travel back to Poland to take the same exams students doing years 3 and 4 in Poland take?

That's in correct. The 12 week rule applies to doing more the 12 weeks outside of your country. For example, I attend PUMS in Poznan, Poland. Since my school is not on the approved list of foreign schools, if I do more than 12 weeks of rotations (elective or core) outside of Poland, then I will not be eligible for residency in New York.

I know this because I've corresponded with Mr. ****** at the New York State Board. I suggest anyone wanting to do a residency in New York to do the same.
