Transfer program in European medical schools

    Advertisements

    hey .

I'm studying medicine in Al-Quds university in Palestinian Authority, and i just finished my second year before 1 month. 82 credit hours were completed in four semesters. The subjects were : Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy, Physiology, Bio-statistics and Epidemiology, Histology, Biochemistry, First Aid, Embryology, Ethics, Public Health, Nutrition, Behavioral science, and the others were university requirements.

I'm thinking to continue my study in Europe, especially in GERMANY or AUSTRIA since the education is free.
So i'm asking is there a transfer program in European universities ? what should i do ? rly i'm depressed and i need badly to study in Europe !
    Plz help me
Btw, i'm a professional Table Tennis player, playing in the national team, i dunno if this can help !

Medical school in Germany/Austria is not free, you have been misinformed. Also, international transfer is not allowed in either country, although they do accept international applicants. This means that you might be able to gain admission, but you would almost certainly be starting from Year I again... and that assumes that you speak fluent German.

i know it is not free at all, but the costs are low i.e tuition fees. i e-mailed some universities in Germany and they replied "if you would like to transfer you have to acknowledge your previous studies first ". Therefore how do i know whether my previous curriculum valid or not ?
according to german, it won't be a problem

I would check with www.daad.org -- they will have just about any information you could need about studying in Germany.

(I would still be shocked if you could transfer in from a foreign medical school, though. Maybe political elements will come into play and you will prove me wrong. Good luck...)

Depending on the university you intend on continuing your studies, you'll need to contact the so-called "Landesprüfungsamt" of the federal land/state where the university is located in. It'll be quite a hassle; it's most likely that they won't accept all of the credits you've earned during your studies abroad...

But as devildoc8404 already suggested, contacting the bureau of DAAD is the first step:

    Good luck!
