Theoretical biology attempts to explain the biological world using mainly mathematical and computational tools. Though ultimately based on observations and experimental results, the theoretical biologist's product is a model or theory.
This category is for societies and professional bodies which do not themselves conduct scientific research but which promote and support theoretical and mathematical biology. They organize meetings, publish journals and provide research grants for scientists in this field.
Journals and Publications devoted to, or largely concerned with, theoretical biology.
