Hello,
I just talked to one of the admission people and explained her that I am not on a Bachelor Degree track, However, I am finishing up pre-requisites, and have taken a lot of other classes like Microbiology, Physiology, Biochemistry, and Advanced physiology classes with courses in business as well.
My GPA is 3.5 with a great extracurriculars, research, recommendation letter.
I came to know that since I won't be getting a bachelors degree, Manipal might place me into B.Sc 4th semester. She said it would depend though.
I DON'T want this to happen. Please advise me on what my chances are of getting admitted into the Basic Science semester.
Thank you.

I think I typed it wrong.
She said Manipal might place me into Pre-B.Sc semester 4th and then let me start the Basic Medical Sciences semester.
I will have about 110 credits by the time I get admitted, but I have not been taking classes to fulfill a degree requirements.
I will have all of my pre-requisites completed by the time I start the first semester of Basic Medical Sciences in Manipal
I don't understand why Manipal would want to place me into pre-medical semester if I have all of my requisites completed.
Please let me know.
Thanks

Hello,
If you're avg is 3.5, and you completed 4 years, take few "bird" courses, increase your GPA to over 3.5 CGPA if you can, and go to a north american Medical school.
Even with 3.5 you can get into most DO programs.
Typically
Carib Med programs are for North American rejects with 3.0-3.5 GPA with low MCAT scores, and or for the non traditional applicant over 30 etc.. etc..
I read on Manipal/KMCIC website that Physics II is required as one of the pre-requisities. AUA website states that only Physics I is required.
Where is there a discrepancy?

Since I have less than 20 posts on this forum, I cannot post a link.
Please go to KMCIC website and click on Fee Structure. That is where I read it.
Is this true or does it need to be updated?
