Physics 1 at a Community College

    Advertisements

    Hello,

This question is for Mr. Tipton. However, input from anyone else will be appreciated.

Is it okay to take Physics 1 lecture at a community college over summer? Would it affect my chances of admission at AUA/Manipal Program?

    Thank you

The Admissions Committee(s) are not really fans of Prerequisites completed at community colleges. BUT we see it all the time. It's not that big of a deal right now. If this is the only way you can fit it into your schedule, go ahead.

I would have taken Chem Lab 2, Physics 1 Lec & Lab, and Calculus 1 at a community college.

Other than That, I took English 101 and 102 during high school at a community college to place out of ESL and prove my competency in English.

Everything else including, Physiology 1, 2, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Cardiovascular, Reproductive, and Endrocrine Physiology would be from my University during regular semesters.

    Does that still sound good?

    Thank you so much.

We'll have to see what it looks like with your transcripts. I suggest applying and submitting all of your documentation.

Thank you. I will start my application after I am done with this semester (May 16th) I am working on my personal statement as well.

Do you think a year and a half would give me ample time to work with the admission committee if I want to get in by September 2011?

    Thank you.

Good Luck. But going offshore for a medical school is not really a good idea. Since your going this late. I believe that the last class that will ever have a decent shot at matching that attended a Lower tier carribean school such as AUA will be the class of 2014 thats it. After that your chance of matching will be down hill to the point you prob wont even match. And god forbid if your canadian. GOOD LUCK. But i would study hard and got the US Route.

MDInformation40 that seems like plenty of time. You should be fine!
