Yes, We did. But I would like to get other members perspectives on whatever I have so far. You did clarify many things when we talked on the phone, but I still didn't get the answer as to Will I get in or not? So please let me know.

    I will be in touch.

    Thanks.

    HI
I have a similar question regarding my application for the twinning program (sep2010 intake). I have a B+ gpa at present and i m in my 2nd year Bsc.degree program(York university, canada).I completed my chemical engineering and microbial analysis advanced diploma (Humber college) with an aggregate of 84%.Also, I have been working full time/part time as a microbiologist in a food industry. I haven't given MCAT. How good are the chances?

I'd say your background is about average or slightly better than average from our applicant pool.

When you say "2 years" in Bsc at York and also an "advanced diploma from Humber College", does that mean you graduated from high school at Humber College? Or are you completing your 2nd Bachelor's degree at York? I ask because an applicant into our 4-year MD program needs the equivalent of 90 Semester Hours of undergraduate credit: about 3 years of full-time university study.

I have completed my advanced diploma after my high school. It was a 3 years program. Currently I am doing my undergraduate at york and I am in my second year. So, when you say an applicant needs to have a degree towards 4 year MD program does it mean I will not be eligible to apply for the twinning program if I haven't completed my undergraduate? Thanks for the reply and wish you happy holidays

You can apply as an undergraduate student to KMCIC if you have less than 90 Semester Hours worth of credit. Basically the Admissions Committee will treat this similar to transferring from one undergraduate school to another.

Or of course you can apply for the Basic Sciences after completing 90 Semester Hours.

    Happy Holidays as well!

Is it possible in anyway that I can send you the transcript, and then you can suggest what is the best case scenario.
    Thanks

I dont think the admission's committee will simply glance at your transcript and let you know if you have a shot. You will have to apply to the university altogether.

You should look into other Caribbean universities like Windsor University (a lot of Canadians like yourself go there with the help of OSAP)! Make sure you do research yourself, talk people within administration and hopefully current students via facebook and then make your decision). Goodluck!
