I got my acceptance letter that reads:
"Congratulations!
It is with pleasure that I write to inform you of your acceptance to the American University of Antigua /Kasturba Medical College Twinning Program"
What does this mean for me??? Is that the 4 yr. MD program w/the option of attending either campus? Because based on what I read on the AUA website, that is the description. I am wondering if there is more to it....
THANX!!!

Thank you for the clarification. I have received my welcome packet and am ready to send in my housing and seat deposit but, how do I know where I'm going? I am accepted for Jan. 2009, which means classes start in 2 weeks, am I going to be reviewed by the Admission Committee now? Or when I get to Antigua? Are they going to ship me to India then? This is more complicated than I expected.
P.S. I'm assuming the office of admissions isn't open today?
I don't understand the "complication". Students choose their campus of preference when they apply. If you applied and were accepted to AUA: you go to AUA in Antigua. If you applied and were accepted to KMCIC: you go to KMCIC in India.

Um, I had a question regarding the degree received when graduating from the KMCIC program is there a difference between getting an MD and an MBBS?
Yeah, there is a difference between MD and MBBS. The twinning program at KMCIC offers entirely US based curriculum. Whereas, the normal MBBS is Indian curriculum. Also with an MBBS degree, you are eligible to practice medicine in India. Whereas, with an MD degree you can practice medicine in North America - after your residency. After finishing your either 4 year or 6 year degree program, a graduate from either AUA or KMCIC come to US for their USMLE step 1 and 2 and then their residency program.
Hope this help
