Maybe before you apply to medical school you should learn how to read...

No such letters are required. Before you think about applying, reading the school's web page on admissions might be a good start.

indeed. they ask for a personal statement but other than that admission to the 6 year program is based on entrance exam score ALONE.

well in general letters of recommendation should be from someone who knows you well and can attest to your character. a letter for medical school should state why the person writing it for you thinks that you would be suited for the strenuous education of a medical programme and why he or she thinks you would excel in the medical field, not only as an ongoing student but as a practicing physician. your commitment to pursuing a career in medicine should be made clear.

Examples from your CV should be used and they should touch on your academic, community and social achievements i.e school council/volleyball team/math award/hospital volunteer etc etc etc. this of course is a problem if you were not very involved in high school.

the writer should state why you should be chosen over other candidates. why are you unique? your specific qualifications should be discussed.

and of course keep in mind length. a good reference letter need not be longer than a page and half to get the job done. some thought should be given into who will write these letters so choose your people carefully.
