I am an IUHS graduate. Preparing for USMLE but have heard that not many US states give residencies and license to their graduates as they give online or distant learning.....but we had proper classrooms, labs and faculty and study groups..i am totally freaked out.. can some of us contact each other through skype..Just to keep in touch..

since you are a graduate, i certainly hope you have already taken step 1 or 2. i dont know how else any school geared for US medical education would allow a graduation without finishing the steps.

most states will not give licenses to distance education from a foreign school. it will also be next to impossible to get a residency after doing distance learning from a foreign school.

Thats unfortunate that you have heard that. I know of many IUHS grads who are working all over the US and Canada. I agree being a foreign grad is difficult. Majority of us ( IUHS Students) already are PA, NP, podiatrist, Nurses and so forth. We have to take all the steps and do the rotations just like any other American University.
    Thank you for your concern.

Have most students been able to get their rotations easily? I have heard there are sometimes "hangups" with some international schools.

Hi, I have applications in with both IUHS and OUM. Just curious why you switched from OUM, any bad experiences? A heads up would be greatly appreciated. I can't PM because I just joined, so if there is a reason for not wanting to post your answer publicly, then maybe you can PM me. Thanks in advance!
