    Hi,
I keep hearing about how bad IUHS and how unreliable their program (on line ).
I went to a medical school in a ver traditional orgram and i dont remeber that we went in the first two years to any clinics or hositals at all all what we had to do is to go to lectures for basic sciences and lab lectures and thats it no clinicals at all and no hospitals ... so whats the problem with on line progrma...may be the anatomy classes were the only problem that you have to attend it but other than that there is nothing really that needed the attendace for lectures , because at the end its up tp you to study and do whatever you have to do !!!I know few students in Canada who attened the IUHS on line program and the yare now finishing up and actualy one of them is startin residency in USA... and got very good scores in their USMLE ...I think even for the anatomy classes you could do it n line by remebring the whole things and then when it comes to practice you can start practicing the things you need for the clinicals... you dont need to see every thing infront of you to remember it.

their program has a one day a week clinic too that they have contact with to spend a day there to learn the basics you need like the history taking,b.p....etc which is enough for the begining .

then when you start your clinicals you can learn what you need then .

I realy wish to see hear from you guys reliable oepnions that we could depend on here, more the logical discussion not the attacking for no reason here so we could all get benifits of whats bad or whats good in this program...
    Regards

    dr_amer98,

You will not find support on this website for IUHS. You will only find bashing and taunting. If you notice, this forum is more controled by those who are determined to bring schools such as IUHS down then there are students who talk about their experience at this school. In fact, you will not find to many IUHS students on any forum because when one student even mentions that they are attending IUHS, they are ganged up on and bashed until they have no choice but to not share their experience.

If you truely want to learn the experience of current students, it's best to call the school and ask for them to put you in contact with some current students who are willing to talk with you through email.

Regardless if the school is not recognized in all 50 states, I'm sure that the current students are aware of this and it must not be of concern to them otherwise they would not be students of this school. However, this should be no reason for students not to share their experience. Then again, it becomes difficult when everything an IUHS students says is met with reasons for not attending the school according to someone elses thoughts.

This is a free speech forum, so people are able to say what they want. Nevertheless, if you put yourself in the shoes of an IUHS student, what point would it be to post your experience when it will only cause others to call you a liar or try to bring you down.

Considering IUHS as poss med school

Just out of interest can I ask the following questions: Yourself, are you a qaulified doctor or a medical student and if so through which medical school. You mention you know of student(s) who have studied via IUHS- which campus was it and were many registration problems encountered?

    Thanks

    My response

Yes I am a qualified IMG All the students I know from IUHS studied at the St.Kitts Campus, and some a did a combination of online and on Campus basic sciences studies.

In terms of registration problems, as long as you pay them you should be ok. Expect to pay anything from 500 to 1,200 per month on their tuition payment plan with a high deposit. As far as I know, do not expect any financial aid from them and good luck.

    IUHS

I know some one who went to this school, He was a chiropractor, He was not able to pass USMLE 2. He states " I would not recommend this school to anyone". He has failed twice and feels that the school is only after the $$$$$. He had to set up his own clinicals and had a hard time finding someone who wanted to help him. This is factual info.

    IUHS...

That's too bad. Where has he done rotations? So far that balances the tally on IUHS step 2 results. I know of 3 students(2 ex-PA's and one full flesh on campus student) that passed Step 2. On the other I know of 4 that has not passed Step 2.

My personal opinion, the school is way too $$$$ for the facilities and program they offer. Everything else, I do not have an opinion nor am interested in talking about.
