You will be given an admissions advisor who will explain everything to you in detail, usually it is Sajith the same guy who is the school official on this board, he is very thorough and very helpful in the process. Don't worry about anything because he will walk you through the process step by step before the actual interview. Just be calm and be yourself and I'm sure it will work out. (I only posted a proper name on VMD because it is listed in user's signature making himself known by his name on VMD thus not violating TOS)

You are not in violation of TOS. Sajith posts as a school official. I can tell you that guy is reliable. He has good understanding of residency and state licensing issues and gives straight up facts. I have had good experience with the school staff so far. Very knowledgable and helpful.

Thanks for the good will and support !

The personal interview is usually conducted over the phone or at our Admissions office in Dallas, TX. The interview panel consists of two members of the Basic Science Faculty, two members of the Clinical Faculty and One member of the Admissions Team.

Each candidate is evaluated on the following areas:

    1. Communication Skills
    2. Content of Responses
    3. Academic Record
    4. Essay - Writing skills and expression of ideas
    5. Preparation for Medical school - Extra curricular and voluntary activities.

The interviews last about 30 minutes and we ask general questions to assess the ability of the candidate to become a successful physician. Candidates also have the option to bring their parent or spouse or a family member to participate in the interview and ask pertinent questions. Following the interview, the admissions committee will go over the candidate's file, review interview scores and then make a decision.

Hello I thought I was prepared for this interview, Boy was I wrong! I had my interview today and 5 Dr's were there along with admissions personnel from Texas. It was very dry and they really stuck it to me. It was by far the hardest interview I have ever had. I wasn't nervous until they started asking me so many questions about the medical field. So make sure anyone that is interviewing read up on your Biochem information. I was totally offgaurd! I hope to hear something tomorrow. I think I blew it, keep your fingers crossed!

Hey I had my interview couple weeks back, and It wasnt that bad actually. Besides that, I had to speak to 4 different doctors. You just got to be yourself and why you want to be a doctor. They want to see how passionate you are, and how you respond to them. They didn't ask me any ethical questions, just the usual. Why you want to be a doc? What kind of doc and why? Why you? and what not. You probably did fine man. I was bugging out too. Cheers

    Phone Interview

No, really it was not the same for me. Out of everything you mentioned the only question they asked was Why Do I want to become a DR. I know I was really nervous after that, I think they tried to see how I reacted under stressful situations. Well I hope to hear something soon.... Thanks for the reply!
