yea, there is no wait time right now for rotations at IAU. You can do all greenbook rotations back to back all in Chicago. I'm scheduled for all greenbook rotations right now in Chicago. the hospitals range from surgery at lutheran general, to psych at UIC.

    Greenbook Rotations

Is there any other site besides Chicago that has all greenbook rotations? I have heard that in other sites the rotations are "sort of/or close to" greenbook because they are under an umbrella with an ECFMG certified teaching hospital and some are through 3rd parties. I want to avoid those at all cost and want to move to a location that has all or the greatest number of greenbook rotations.

Can any current Clinical Rotation students respond as to your experiences so far and if you are able to stay in one location for the majority of the rotations? Thanks.

i currently go to school in bulgaria, its a 6 yr program, but the thing is this school has no hospital affiliations in america, i am a us citizen, im taking my step this summer, and was wondering if i could get ur input on transferring. the university i attend to is recognized by all 50 states (sofia medical university) but i wouldnt get the experience of doing clinicals in the states. i could set up my own clinicals after i take my step, but wouldnt be able to do all 72 weeks of rotations. is IAU nyc approved? does it have ALL green book rotations?

Other posts have addressed this, but there's a lot of confusion surrounding the topic.

If you're looking for 100% greenbook cores (ACGME residency program on-site in the specialty of the clerkship), then the only option is to rotate under a third-party affiliation, and these come with their own risks and limitations.

On the other hand, the school seems to do a good job of placing students into non-greenbook rotations without waiting times.

It's a tough environment to be selective in these days.
