    New York Clinical Rotations

    Advertisements

GAU's main affiliate hospital in New York is Wyckoff Heights Medical Center. GAU students who have completed the USMLE step 1 successfully can complete most of their rotations at Wyckoff. Students without the USMLE step 1 can only complete 12 weeks of clinical rotations in NY. This is in keeping with the NY State Education Department (NYSED) regulations.

We do accept transfer students from IMED listed medical schools into our clinical sciences program. They will first have to complete our 2 weeks block 10 course which prepares students to enter into the clinical rotations. This course includes the NY state infectious course, BCL certification course etc., all required courses needed for entry into rotations in key US States such as NY and Washington DC.

Rotations can be done at our affiliate hospitals in New York, Washington DC, Maryland and we are currently finalizing rotations in Connecticut and Atlanta Georgia. Students can also do rotations at Georgetown Public Hospital in Guyana.
